Learn with Duolingo

Duolingo offers many learning options, being from a device such as a cell phone or a computer where it enables the learning of a new language in this way reinforcing English skills such as: vocabulary, speaking, reading, grammar, listening. 

1. VOCABULARY

     To reinforce and learn new words duolingo makes a relationship between images, words and sounds as they are pronounced. When a word is not previously known duolingo mentions it at the bottom with its meaning. The learning I was able to advance with Duolingo with respect to my vocabulary by means of hits and misses to identify the words starting with a basic level until passing per item and completing a star until the topic is completed. 

Many of the words that are mentioned in the vocabulary are seen in a repetitive way in other activities in this way I consider that it is optimal to remember the known word about its writing, its pronunciation and how it is with the recognition by means of the image.

 

 

 

 2. SPEAKING

    As for the topic of speaking in the experience that Duolingo offered me, in order to be able to do that it is done with the access to the microphone, it is based on the pronunciation of a word that you have previously heard, it is very useful that in this application you can select the speed with which the sound is reproduced in this way you will be able to identify the word in a better way and even form sentences.

 

 

3. READING 

 

    In its application Duolingo makes the reading from small sentences where the vocabulary previously learned is put in evidence now the message is interpreted, not only offers this option to develop the reading activity but now we can find in the application stories and stories where the characters of the application are involved in this way not only tells a story but also is evaluated by developing a reading comprehension. 

 

4. GRAMMAR

 

    Duolingo uses an activity where sentences are organized in this way you will know how to put the sentence together, it is also reinforced when dialogues are implemented in this way observe that there is a pattern in the sentences, to reach a level of forming sentences easily requires a lot of practice to learn to use the rules and phrases in context that are demonstrated in conversations and even learn through the readings offered by Duolingo the grammatical structure of some sentences identifying some verb tenses that will be achieved with discipline.

 

5. LISTENING

To train the listening skill Duolingo proposes, first listening to the word that is learned for the first time with the option of being able to listen to it as many times as you want in this way you identify what another pronounces, also through dialogues and reading This activity can be developed a little aloud from the tales and stories that it offers. It seems to me that what strengthens listening the most in Duolingo is through a message identifying what was said and transcribing it, in this way not only listening but also writing ability is checked
